Trusted referral partner
Dr Dean Licenblat works collaboratively with other dental practitioners and refers patients for general dental treatment when appropriate. He also welcomes referrals from individuals seeking treatment in areas in which he has completed further training, including dental implants and zirconia implant options.
At SDAI, we understand the importance of the existing relationship between a patient and their dentist. We respect this connection and always return patients to their referring practitioner to support continuity of care.

Supporting Education Within Implant Dentistry
Dentists have an ongoing responsibility to maintain and develop their professional skills. Dr Dean Licenblat supports this through his involvement in teaching and mentoring programs for dental practitioners both in Australia and overseas. He also continues to undertake further education to support his work in implant-related dentistry.

Dr Dean Licenblat and Dr Melissa Licenblat are highly committed to keeping up to date with modern dental techniques and dental tehnology. Dr Dean has completed a Master’s degree from the Goethe University in Frankfurt with a focus on Oral Implantology and Bone Grafting and regularly attends and lectures at surgical conferences both locally and internationally. Dr Licenblat is Treasurer of the ASID (Australian Society of Implant Dentistry) and a senior tutor for the master’s program in Oral Implantology for Goethe University, Frankfurt with many Australian dentists graduating from the program being mentored by Dr Licenblat. Dr Dean Licenblat is a founder and head lecturer of Australasian Implant Academy and is also a member of numerous dental societies and shares a dedication to continuing education.
Dr Dean’s Involvement in Implant Dentistry
Dr Dean Licenblat provides zirconia implant treatment as part of his clinical practice and has completed a Master’s degree in Oral Implantology and Bone Grafting through Goethe University in Frankfurt. He performs implant-related procedures at the practice and is involved in teaching programs for dental practitioners in Australia and internationally.
Dr Licenblat is the Head Lecturer for the Australasian Implant Academy (AIA) and is a Founder of the Australian chapter of the California Implant Institute. His roles in these organisations support his ongoing involvement in implant-related education and professional development.
Inhouse sedation services
For patients who feel anxious about dental treatment, SDAI offers in-chair IV sedation for those assessed as suitable. This service is provided by Dr Melissa Licenblat, a Principal Dentist who has completed postgraduate training in Conscious Sedation and Pain Control. IV sedation may allow some procedures to be carried out in the chair at our Martin Place practice, depending on individual clinical needs.
Mobile Sedation Services
In addition to providing in-chair IV sedation (twilight sedation) at Sydney Dental Aesthetics & Implants, Dr Melissa Licenblat offers mobile IV sedation services for referring dentists across New South Wales.
Dr Melissa can attend your practice to provide IV sedation for eligible patients, supporting you in carrying out treatment within your own clinic. She has completed a Graduate Diploma in Clinical Dentistry (Conscious Sedation and Pain Control) and primarily provides IV sedation as part of her clinical work.
Her mobile service is available to practices in Sydney, the Central Coast, Wollongong, Goulburn and surrounding regions.

We support referring practitioners and colleagues and understand that complex situations can occasionally arise. If you require input or wish to discuss a case, our team is available to provide assistance where appropriate. Dentists are also welcome to attend appointments with their patients, and there is an opportunity to observe the clinical process alongside Dr Dean Licenblat.
