A Recognised Role in Implant Dentistry and Education
Dr Dean Licenblat provides dental care with a focus that includes implant-related treatment and continued involvement in professional education. He has undertaken extensive postgraduate training in oral implantology and bone grafting, including a Master’s degree from Goethe University in Frankfurt.
Dr Licenblat has contributed to implant-related education through lecturing and workshop participation in Australia and overseas. He is the first Australian Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Implantology (DABOI) and a Diplomate member of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI). Sydney Dental Aesthetics & Implants is listed in an international directory known as the “Leading Implant Centres of the World,” an independent listing unrelated to specialist registration in Australia.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Licenblat is the head lecturer of the Australasian Implant Academy (AIA), where he contributes to the development of implant-related education for dental practitioners. The AIA’s 2025 curriculum includes training in a range of topics, from foundational implant concepts to full-arch treatment planning. Dr Licenblat’s role involves supporting participants as they build their knowledge and skills in implant dentistry through structured educational programs regarding implantology.

Some patients prefer to explore implant options that do not involve metal components. Zirconia implants are a ceramic, metal-free alternative that may be suitable for certain clinical situations. Dr Dean Licenblat provides zirconia implant treatment as part of his scope of practice for patients where this option is appropriate.
