At SDAI our practitioners have been caring for patients for over 40 years combined and has provided implant-related treatment for the past 12 years. The team is also involved in teaching and mentoring programs for dental practitioners in Australia and overseas.
Comfort and reassurance
If you are anxious or concerned about dental treatment, then sleep dentistry may be suitable for you. This enables you to undergo dental treatment in a sleep like state. SDAI offers inhouse sedation for those suitable, performed by a qualified sedationist so that you can have specific treatments done in the chair.
Experienced in dental implants
Dr Licenblat provides zirconia metal-free implant treatment and is experienced in dental implantology. He holds a master’s degree in oral implantology from Goethe University Frankfurt and performs implant surgery regularly. He is also involved in teaching implant techniques to other dental practitioners.
Dedicated to ongoing training and development
Dr Dean and Dr Melissa Licenblat are committed to professional development through regular attendance and lecturing at conferences both nationally and internationally. Dr Dean is Treasurer of the ASID (Australian Society of Implant Dentistry) and a senior tutor for the master’s program in Oral Implantology for Goethe University, Frankfurt with many Australian dentists graduating from the program being mentored by Dr Licenblat. He is also a member of numerous dental societies further highlighting his commitment to continuing education.
Expert sedationist onsite
Dr. Melissa Licenblat is a Principal dentist and has also attained a Graduate Diploma in Clinical Dentistry (Conscious Sedation and Pain Control) and is now primarily a practicing Sedationist. Her training and experience support the safe provision of sedation services at our practice. SDAI conveniently offers sleep dentistry/sedation all in house, reducing the need for external referral in appropriate cases.
Technology and Treatment Options
SDAI uses a range of contemporary dental technologies, equipment and techniques to support diagnosis and treatment planning. SDAI proudly provides services such as All-On-4TM, zirconia metal free implants, ozone therapy treatment, PRF and sleep dentistry. SDAI also utilise equipment including a CBCT machine for 3D imaging and a CEREC system, which enables the fabrication of certain dental restorations in a single visit when appropriate.
