He is a global dental leader, educator and innovator.

His education
Dean is a passionate high achiever in this area, having a Bachelor of Dentistry, a Bachelor of Science with honours in Microbiology and a Master’s degree from the Goethe University in Frankfurt with a focus on Oral Implantology and Bone Grafting. Dr Dean Licenblat also continues to be on top of the trends around the world, lecturing and presenting to many different dentists worldwide on a consistent basis. His master’s thesis focused on the direct comparison between titanium and zirconia implants – with him being a leading expert in Zirconia Implants. Dean is also continuing to further his education, attending education programs both locally and abroad, to make sure he is continually on top of his game.
His experience
Dean is the head dentist at Sydney Dental Aesthetics and Implants, one of Australia’s leading providers of Zirconia Implants. He has placed over 500 Zirconia implants alone. His experience has also led him to become the first Australian diplomate for the American Board of Oral Implantology. To achieve this, he has had to complete over 750 hours of implant related Continuing Education, show proof of over 150 implant related cases, submit 9 complex cases with specific requirements, sit a 4-hour 200 question written exam and complete a 2-3 hour oral defence exam.
Teaching other dentists
Dr Dean Licenblat is also a founder and head lecturer of Australasian Implant Academy. The AIA courses allow other dentists to get hands-on personal help and experience with implants from Dr Dean Licenblat. Australasian Implant Academy is the only place in Australia that allows student dentists to operate on live patients during the course. From creating the treatment plans right through to doing the surgery itself, dentists get the practical experience they need.
